   There was a Tanyard in Rath Luirc long ago which was owned by a man named Haines. A Tanyard is a place where leather is made. There was an other factory in Rath Luirc long ago. It was a Milk Factory and was owned by a man named Dowdalls. The Tanyard stood in the place where Lanes stand now, which is at the corner of Broad Street. The Milk Factory was situated at the top of the town where Morrisey's Store is now. There was also a great Brick Factory in Rath Luirc long ago. It was situated in the palce which we now call the Brick-yard
