  1. Old Crafts.
    In this district some time ago spinning was very common but it has died away.
    The old people used to spend hours upon hours, doing this work This is how they do it. First they grease the wool with reap oil, second they card it with cards, third they spin it with them they put two threads together to make it strong
    When they have this done they dye the wool to any colour they like. They used to get black wool, and put it on spindles and spin it between their fingers
