    road. Owen Carroll had a tunnel running under the road and in this way he got to Mass. Finally Cromwell found out about this, and one morning, one of Cromwell's servants saw through the key-hole, Owen Carroll receiving Holy Communion in the chapel. Yet he escaped, and did not die until some years after.
