  1. There is an old fort in the townland of Gortnalibirt called the Brockey fort. There is a circle of trees and in the circle there are many caves. One of the caves there is a river running under, and there are stone chairs and tables and you can only get into this cave in summer when there is no water in it. There were fairies to be long ago going from cave to cave with lights. There are a lot of trees in this fort and any one who cut one something will die belonging to him.
