  1. Saint Martin's day is on 11th of November every year. It is also called "Old Hallowe'en." It is a custom to kill a fowl on that night and throw the head of it across the roof, and while doing this bless yourself.
    On Saint Martin's night hang a head of cabbage from the ceiling and the first person who would come in, whatever his christian name is you would get married to the person with that name.
