    during the day weather the had been force to seek in the subsoil .to Crows fly down to scratch in pasture before either rain or storm. A cat scratch wood is the sign of rain.
    Before Storm: - The heron and seagull fly about forty miles inland. Partridges, pheasants and moon-hens seek shelter the hedges sometime before the commences. Sometimes on a sunny afternoon a sudden silence may be observed. No birds fly about or sing, though an occasional twitter comes from the trees a sign that they are busy sheltiring
