    The following information was given to me by my grandfather.

    The name of my home district is Ballyvooney. It is in the parish of Stradbally, and in the barony of the Decies Without Drum.
    There are about twenty six people in the townland. Long ago Power was the most common name in the townland, as one man owned a big part of it and he divided all the land between his sons. Most of the farmers' houses in the townland are
