In ‘Meckan’s Forge’, (Jack Meehan) in Annaghia, Dromintee, S. Armagh. Forge evidently abandoned; Anvil set along hedge, with bench and vice further along. Jack Meekan uses his kitchen fire, and fan, bellows, for heating iron.

Forge of Connolly’s at ‘The Turnpike’ (as ‘The turn-peek’, Cloghoghue, on Newry Hill, main Newry-Dundalk road). One of two, another now demolished on opposite side of road, both just s-east of railways bridge. This Connolly said to have made cure for rickets in this forge.
