    There are four forges in this parish. There is one in Meenagowan one in Meenacrosh one in Dungloe and one in Maghery. John Boyle Meenagowan. Dan Deveny Maghery. Mick Roarty Dungloe. Patrick Brennan Meenacrosh. John Boyle's father was a smith and his grandfather was another smith.
