  1. About fourteen years ago a great disaster occurred in my parish. A thousand pounds worth of hay was destroyed.
    It belonged to a gentleman by the name of Mr Towers, Coolbawn. This was in the year of the trouble time in Ireland. It was a very great loss. It was burnt by the Black Tans.
