    a meeting in Claremorris of the United Irish men. Some one espied on him and on comming home The Yeomens came meeting him.
    They met him on the Breaffy road. They met him at the red gats on his horse. The Yeomans halted him and questioned him and shot him at the red gats
    The gats is there to be seen yet in Breaffy where he was shot. The people says that the remains was left where Breaffy National School stands now it was left there
