    district which were spun and woven by the old people.
    Socks and stockings are knitted locally but the thread is not spun in the homes. Spinning wheels are not so numerous in the district as they were long ago. There are only three spinning wheels in the district.
    Different kinds of clothes are worn on special occasions. Green is worm on St Patrick's day to honour St. Patrick. Black is worn when relatives die.
