    cuckoo comes people say it will be a bad crop. When one hears the cuckoo the first time he should turn his money in his pocket so that he would have luck for the year. Others say that if one is working whe he hears the cuckoo that he will have a (good) hard year. When people hear the cuckoo for the first time they look at the heels of their boots. If they get three hairs they put them aside so that they will have louck [luck] for the year.
