  1. My mother told me that long ago it was very usual that people would eat only two meals in the day. In the morning their breakfast and in the middle of the day their dinner. The morning meal consisted of indian meal and "Ships' Cocoa" as there was no tea there then. Potatoes and milk were used for the dinner. When meals were going on the people used to sit on low stools around the fire. They used to place the potatoes in the middle of the table and take the amount they required.
