- (continued from previous page)About 35 years ago two local farmers, John Larkin and James Cosgrove, repaired the approaches to the well and gave the place a general cleaning up. At that time about 100 pilgrims used do the rounds every Sunday. In recent times the pilgrimage was almost abandoned but it is again being revived, and a number of cures within the last few years have been attributed to doing the rounds and prayers to the patron St. Seily.
Most of the above information was attained from Mr. Pat Casey, Ballymoloney and from Mr Michael Larkin, Ballyquin, both of whom have done the rounds since childhood.August 1938
Recently a new road following the path of the old road has been made by the Board of Works passing within about twenty yards of the well. The wall surrounding the well has been repaired and a cross erected over it.(continues on next page)- Collector
