  1. There are some very old people in this district. Some of these are hale and hearty and even do some work.
    The oldest man in the locality is Mickie Lynch. Richie is a farmer and is very active. He smokes his pipe still and he attributes his great health to plenty of hard - out -door work.
    The oldest inhabitant of the town of Killaloe is Mary Keogh . Mary who is now 94 years. She is a shopkeeper and she still attends he customers. She is a staunch supporter of the present Government and she enjoys the unique privilege of being visited by the Taoiseach whenever he come to Killaloe.
    Another very old inhabitant is John Kenneally . He is now 75 years
