  1. To Scariff in the County Clare, thousands every year repair,
In the beauteous race course to have a jolly day,
Merry laughter rend the skies of Colleens and rattling boys,
All going to Scariff on the twenty-fourth of May.
    Chorus
All off to Scariff, boys, young and old and married boys,
All off to Scariff, boys, no matter what you say.
All off to Scariff, boys, young and old and married boys,
Tripping to the races on the twenty-fourth of May.
They come down from Ennis there, and every other part of Clare,
    Colleens in particular the fashions to display;
Old pensioners the night before, could scarcely walk around the floor,
All off to Scariff on the twenty fourth of May.
Chorus - All off to Scariff, boys.
Travel in the County Clare, long before the month of May,
You see the great industry the Colleens do display,
The morning of the Scariff race, the moment they commence to dress
Be cautious not to ask them for to make a cup of tea.
Chorus - All off to Scariff, boys.
I doubt is it the race at all brings the boys both one and all,
Or to see the home-made fashions the Colleens do display,
I challenge Limerick and New York
Paris, Dublin, and to Cork, couldn't beat the style of Scariff on the twenty-fourth of May.
