    This house was supposed to be haunted and no one could live in it. The owner promised five pounds to anyone who would live a month in it. A certain neighbour thought no ghost could frighten him so he decided to get the £5 by living a month in the house.
    The first night he kept a pitchfork in the bed and at twelve o'clock he heard all the doors open and a large bull dragging a chain came up the stairs. It came towards where the man lay and he jumped up and ran to meet it with the pitchfork but instead of the fork having any effect on the bull it was thrown out through the roof. The man then shook holy water and the animal remained there till cock crow when it disappeared.
    Next day the man went to the priest and told him what had happened. The priest gave him a special bottle of holy water and next night the bull appeared again & the same thing happened.
    Afterwards the priest settled it
