    churn by a strainer bought for the purpose. The butter is washed three times with cold water, then salted. It is said that, long churning makes bad butter.
    Buttermilk is used for wetting flour to make bread and for making porridge. Buttermilk is also used for feeding calves and pigs. People drink it in summer and it is very good for fowl to drink.
