    in which the horse is tied is called a "stable". The horse usually gets upland hay. In late winter or early spring when the horses are ploughing they are give corn. Before we start ploughing we get the horse clipped. When the horse wants shoes we bring to the forge and the blcksmith makes a new set and puts them on him.
    The house in which pigs are kept is called a pig-stye. When calling young pigs we say "Dhuc! dhuc!" or "Gorry! gorry! and when calling a sow "Hursh" is said. Pigs are fed three times each day.
    We have two goats at home. They give milk only in the Summertime. The young of the goat is called a kid.
