    Before his lordship all in the chair
    He swore all questions that were put to him.
    To gain respect from Her Majesty
    That he caught him writing these lines indicting
    All which related to society.

    Then when the trial was past and over
    His lordship down unto Mac did say.
    "If King's evidence you do now give.
    And swear against the whole country
    You will have lands at your own commands
    From rent and taxes they will be free"
    Says MacIntyre "I will expire
    Before an informer I' ever be."

    "My chief ambition was to see this nation
    Having freedom's light all o'er its shene
    And if in my efforts I've been unsuccessful.
    I submit the fault has been none of mine.
    It is in my case there is no disgrace.
    So Adieu dear friends all round Paddy's lands
    I'will cross the main without blot or stain.
