There was a very severe winter about forty years ago. There was a terrible big snow, and it lasted from November to March, and the people could do no ploughing.
There was a terrible windy night on the fifth of November 1926. The wind did a lot of harm. It blew down all the corn and hay in the country.
There was a great storm this Autumn. It lasted from Sunday morning until Monday night. It did a lot of harm. It blew down all the "stooks" of corn in the country. It also blew down a great many "rucks," and even some stacks.
