    places for lodging every night. They usually stayed two nights every place they went. In former years there were more poor people in the country than at present.
    The old people made them welcome they liked to see them coming into their houses and to hear them tell stories by the fire-side. They were also very charitable to them and gave them all the food and alms that they could afford.
