    none living now that remembers it as it is almost one hundred years ago.
    There are very sad tragedies connected with the night of the big wind. We are told of one family that was left homeless and they were going to seek shelter in a neighbour's house. On their way a brick was blown from a chimney and struck one of them and she had to go to hospital next day.
    Another sad tragedy is told of a poor woman who was living alone and her house was blown down by the wind and she died next day from shock
