  1. There is an old ruined church at Castlecor near Mr Quillens house, Castlecor Mt. Nugent Co. Cavan. There are two large ash trees growing inside each gable. It is built on a hill but there is no graveyard.
    People say that there lived a witch in that district long ago and she did not like the clergyman and one Sunday when the people went to Church it was in ruins.
    They saw the two trees standing there instead of the church, and the people became frightened and they did not live there for a long time after.
