    the scene of a murder. One evening a boy was bringing hay to a foal, he met a man in the lane. The man and the boy's father were not friends.
    The man who'se name was Reilly enticed the boy to cross the fields for a short cut. The boy agreed. Just as they had crossed the fence bordering the "Watery Lane" Reilly knocked the boy and choaked him and threw him in among the potato furrows.
    From that afterwards it is known as the "The Watery Lane".
