To tell this parody are tell all was witness round this old and ancient tree,
There are thousands of our Ardleny men,
Who are now in America will shed a tear when they hear the news of the bush of Ardleny.
Our forefathers of the story told in days of long ago
When mass was celebrated in the depth of frost and snow
When captain smell Criost and his hound commended their massacre
The soggarth aroon shelter found at the bush of Ardleny
But oh alas that good old race, they are all dead and gone
And sorry I am to have to say none of them left a son that care or cherish
    V Verse
The ancient bush is now blown down,
    T'will never bloom again,
Upon the hill of Ardleny no more it will be seen,
    Farewell, Farewell, Sweet Ardleny bush,
    Good-bye Good-bye to thee,
To the end of time no more shall it shine on the Bush of Ardleny.
