    and none too soon but he got away in safety. that was why this family was hated so much.
    It was believed they were able to turn themselves into animals and other things. They used to take the form of a hare and go into fields where cows were grazing and take the milk from the cows. The people soon found out this. One morning a man put a bullet into the hare with his gun. He saw her run in on the window, and he looked in after her, and he saw her lying bleeding on the bed. They had very bad luck in the end of their lives and were afflicted with terrible diseases. The ruins of their dwelling place is still to be seen and is said to be haunted.
