  1. One time a man named Patrick had a son named John. Patrick was working with a gentleman who was living beside him. Every day his wife would go with the dinner to him and bring John. There were alot of nice things at the gentleman's hall door but John would bring some thing every day and as he was getting stronger he was bringing more things with him and the gentleman saw him. One day the gentleman asked Patrick what he was going to do with his son and he said he did not know. The gentleman told him to make a robber of him. The man was angry and told his wife and his wife was angry John was sitting in the corner and said it would fit him. His father gave him five pounds and told him to go to his brother who was living in the north of Ireland to learn the trade. John started on his journey and one night he saw a dim light by the side of a mountain. He went to the house and knocked at the door. The woman was saying her prayers and the Gaduidhe Dubh was in bed. She asked who was there and told and she let him in. The Gaduidhe Dubh got out of bed and
