In olden times it was dangerous for good looking men or women to be out at night because the fairies would bring them. Once upon a time there lived a woman at Callanagh Crossroads. Fairies brought away her child and left another in its place. This child had a very large head and a thin neck like a lead pencil. Everyone wondered how it could hold up such a head. He would be out on the roads and he seemed to know every-one. He was called Lara Lee. If people came from twenty miles away he would know them or could tell them all that happened in their own country.
