    was protecting the gold, and every night he would bring a cock with him so that if the devil appeared he would throw the cock into his face, and then grab the gold.
    The place is still to be seen where he used to dig.
    He never got any money but the neighbours thought that he was "cracked" to be digging for it.
    This man had two sisters living in the house with him, and they were equally "cracked'.
    Their only food was tea, and it was said that it was the tea that made them so "light" in the head.
