About one hundred and tewnty year's ago there was a Church on Smith's rock.

    (continued from previous page)
There was one hundred and ten pounds in it.
On Nurse Smith's rock in Aughadreena there lived an old man and he was a very rich man. He buried vessels and crock's of gold beside a 'lone' bush. One night the Danes came, when the man was in bed, and they had spades and shovels and picks with them.
They started to dig beside the 'lone' bush. They kept digging till they found about ten pounds and there were a few vessels in it.
