    her tears,
    When a hero so brave, came to take his last leave,
    And to bid his farewell to his dear.

    This maiden so fair, with her long yellow hair,
    Wore a dress of a dull-coloured green,
    I would venture to say, that in Europe this day,
    Her equal is not to be seen.
    Her eyes they were blue, and her heart it was true,
    And her tears kept falling like rain,
    Alas she did cry, I fear I must die,
    For my gallant young Knight of Drumlane.

    As I stood on the road, near a rural abode,
    At a place it's called Nixon's Demesne.
    When a hero so brave, came to take his last leave,
    And to bid his farewell to his Jane.
    She said:- "My dear boy, you're the hector of troy,
    And my heart it is bound in love's
