    Of Tumeryware,
    Was courting a nobleman's
    Daughter so fair;
    And for to wed her
    It was his intent,
    All her friends and relations
    They gave their consent.
    The time was appointed
    For the wedding day,
    The farmer appointed
    To give her away:
    As soon as the lady
    The farmer did spy,
    He influenced her heart
    And he captured her eye.
