    all his tenants nearly all of whom were Catholics. He had large dishes of colcannon made with a plentiful supply of meat mixed in it. The day was Friday and the people were so hungry they had begun to eat it. Fr. Walsh was curate priest in the town at that time and when he heard of the feast he speedily went to Newtownbarry house and when Lord Farmer saw him coming he went out and asked him his business. Father Walsh replied "I am a shepherd and am in search of my flock". He then called all the Catholics out and they all followed him except two, they remained and ate the meat. As a result of their disobedience a horn grew out of each man's back.
