  1. In olden times the people used kneel down and pray on Ash Wednesday on every cross road and when they would get the blessed ashes from the priest.
    When they would be coming home about four of them would kneel on every cross roads and say the rosary and they would make the sign of the cross on their foreheads. When they got home they got the breakfast ready. Before they began to eat they made the sign of the cross on their forehead with the blessed
