  1. Once upon a time there was a man who witnessed superstitious happenings. In the towns-land of Kilmsglush, on his way home from Fenagh at a late hour of night, he saw a game of hurling going on inside the noted place which is a rath.
    There is also a noted bush which stands on a fence by the road, and it is very unlucky to break a branch of this bush which is called Kilmaglush. This bush is now withered and not even a branch of it has been touched by anyone.
    Kilmaglush town land is about three stature miles from BallonHill, and it is in the parish of Fenagh. The townland of Turtane also adjoins it.
