    time after it was rebuilt by the Welsh Immigrant. When the Danes came they plundered it again on several occasions. In spite of all it remained a monastery until the end of the seventh century. In the year nineteen hundred and thirty four excavations of the old monastery were carried out. It was discovered that a large part of the monastery exists. The old grave yard was also discovered and some of the sculpured slabs were sent to the Museum in Dublin.
