    Domestic animals.
Some of the cows are tied with chains - around their necks. Others are tied in bales.
A branch of blessed palm is hung in the cow house once a year in order to bring luck. Palm is also hung up in the stables.
At some farm houses a horse shoe is nailed in the cow house to bring luck. A medal is also nailed up for the same reason. A branch of ash is sometimes put over the door for luck.
The cows and horses generally have special names. Very often cows which have been bought are given the name of the person from whom they are bought.
