    people used to eat eggs on Easter Sunday and of course this custom is carried on still.
    It was the custom long ago to kill a cock on St. Martin's eve.
    Flummery was made out of oaten meal it is made by steeping it in cold water over several nights.
    This is given to delicate people and the old people said it was good for the health.
    It was the custom long ago to eat rice on St. Brigids day but this custom is not continued now.
    The people used to have sacks on the tables long ago instead of table cloths and the people did not wash them very often.
