  1. In olden times the people used to use about three meals a day except on a back fast day and in Lent.
    They used to eat their meals at all time of the day and they used to have only one meal in Lent and that was their dinner.
    Long ago the people used to work in the morning before breakfast because they said it would give them a good appetite.
    They would go out to work at four oclock in the morning and come in for breakfast at six oclock.
    The meals which were eaten consisted of porrige for breakfast, potatoes , butter-milk and salt for dinner
