  1. This sweet vale of Eden is rare to be seen
It is covered all over with a mantle of green
It's enclosed in the bosom of two lofty hills
With a beautiful river and two ancient mills
The beauty of this Valley is charming and sweet
It's intended by nature for sweethearts to meet
They may pass oe'r the path and tell a love tale
As they roam through the groves of sweet Eden Vale
The beauty of this Vally is charming and gay
To see where the lambs they rool sport and play
Where the woodquest and woodcock do coo in their sleep
Where the white and salmon do leap in the deep
