  1. Ghost Story.
    I was told by my Grandmother that she was told by Mrs Dalton herself the fright she got one night.
    One night Mrs Dalton was going a celidhe to where James Mimnagh lives in Clontumpher but a family of the name of Kiernans lived in it then as she was going across the fields she heard a step behind her and she looked around and saw a tall man walking behind her. She was a kind of frightened when she saw him because she could not see him anywhere a few minutes before that. She took courage and kept on walking and went on through the fields and still the man walked after her and when she was going up to the door the man was still after her and the very same distance as at first. When she was going in on the door and when she thought she was safe she turned and said to the man "You can go to blases now I am not afraid of you" she had not the words said when she was taken and thrown seven or eight yards away and nearly killed against the ground. She recovered soon after but she never saw the man
