- There was also a man in Gaigue who dreamt that he would get a crock of gold in one of his own gardens. Like all of those stories he dreamt of it three nights in succession. He went and procured it and it was full of gold coins. He came home elated and when he came to the window he looked in and saw five neighbouring men playing cards. When he went in they left as it was late in the night. He had left the crock of gold outside on the window-sill while he was in and when he returned it was filled with horse-manure.
People say he should have spat into it to prevent the spell been cast on it.- Collector
