    Around the burial ground of Kill, in the Co. West Meath, there is a treasure hidden This treasure was hidden by monks four centuries ago. The monks lived in a monastery the ruins of which remain still. This chest contains gold, it is said, and gold ornaments. The of the monastery are still there and the ruins of a chapel and school also. These monks hid the treasure because the Catholics were being murdered by the Protestants and if they did not hide it the (Prodes) Protestants would
