    Michael Allen aged seventy three years said about a hundred and twenty two years ago in the town-land of Wardenstown there was a piper to be seen every night.

    The church in Killucan was a monastery two hundred years ago. The first Bishop of Ireland was consecrated there. There is a stone at the school in Killucan. Some say that there was a battle fought there called the battle of Killucan.
