  1. One night there was a man coming from a dance. He came home across the fields and he came out by Kearney's fort in Ballycomoyle and he saw many men around him. Then it began to rain and when he was crossing a ditch he jumped off it and broke his leg. The fairies took him and carried him about a half mile and left him standing at the end of James Sweeney's house and when it was set it was turned backways. It had to be broke again and set right.
