    a week in Summer and twice a week in Winter. Everybody who comes in during the churning takes the handle because they believe it would take the butter off it if they did not. In Summer it takes half an hour to do it and in Winter it takes one hour to do it.
    Another churn called the dash churn is what the old people have. It takes two hours to churn with it. It is churned with a dash which is worked up and down.
    The butter is made with a clappers which clap the buttermilk out of it. The buttermilk is used in making the bread.
