    everyone knows nae
    now.
    A year ago I worked
    my day,
    No trouble on my soul,
    Except when forced to
    take a nest and live
    upon the dole.
    I was just then a
    poor workman getting
    along somehow,
    Nobody paid any heed
    to me, everyone
    knows me now.
    Ashbourne has another poet in the person of James Kearne, he was born in the year 1866.
    He lives at present in Robertstown, Ashbourne, and only last Saturday retired from his position as road-man. He wrote over a
