    Cut them for new,
    Cut them on Thursday for a
    new pair of shoes,
    Cut them on Friday,
    Cut them for sorrow,
    Cut them on Saturday
    you will see your true love to-morrow,
    Cut them on Sunday
    The devil will be with you all the week.
